Company History

The growth of L&K’s development is divided into the following periods:

Initial period: (1978 ~ 1986)

This period marked the foundational phase for traditional air conditioning, electromechanical engineering, and cleanroom development. During this time, L&K undertook various cleanroom engineering projects for military research institutions and pilot experimental factories. It also benefited from technical training and guidance provided by American engineers from the U.S. firm SQUIBB, establishing a clear understanding of cleanroom technology. As one of the earliest domestic companies to engage in cleanroom engineering, L&K laid a solid groundwork in this specialized field.

Transitional Period: (1987 ~ 1990)

It was the period of deep integration of complete plant MEP systems for cleanroom industries and related peripheral engineering.
During this period, under the detailed planning, design guidance, and strict construction quality requirements provided by British engineering personnel, L&K successfully integrated the complete plant MEP, process, and cleanroom system architectures. L&K also developed capabilities for the international procurement of specialized materials and equipment, and established comprehensive plant-wide testing standards and acceptance criteria. These achievements enabled L&K to build the capability and track record as a full-plant EPC contractor on an international scale. In 1989, during this period, L&K acquired a plot of land and a factory building in the Hsinchu Industrial Park, establishing a strategic base for advancing cleanroom engineering projects and manufacturing related products for the Hsinchu Science Park.

Growing Period: (1991 ~ 1994)

It was a period of active commitment to specialized cleanroom engineering. With a deep understanding of system and process requirements, during this period, L&K strengthened its cleanroom expertise and, in alignment with industry demands, established comprehensive information channels and search networks for both domestic and international equipment and materials. With support from renowned international engineering consultants, technical assistance from Japanese industry peers and suppliers, and years of dedicated involvement and hands-on experience in cleanroom design and construction, L&K’s capabilities to undertake large-scale cleanroom projects reached a mature and reliable stage. At the same time, L&K began expanding into production and product development markets.

Prosperous Period: (1995 ~ 2008)

During this period, L&K was involved in the planning, design, and construction of 8” and 12” IC wafer fabs, as well as TFT-LCD production facilities, achieving major breakthroughs in critical technologies and securing significant engineering projects. To ensure construction timelines and maintain quality standards, L&K actively developed and produced key system components required for these projects, enabling greater control over both production and on-site application.

Refining Period: (2009 ~ 2021)

Due to the worldwide financial meltdown during 2008 to 2009, most of the high-tech fab establishment projects were hold and some of the leading companies of high-tech industry also slashed the budget of establishment plan. Most of the construction companies struggled between the revenue and profit and that results in the severe competition in the market. At that moment, L&K and RSEA Construction Company were jointed to be “RSEA Engineering Corporation”. The integration of CSA (Civil, Structural, Architecture) and M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) capabilities leads to the birth of an unique turn-key engineering corporation which involves high-tech fab, bio-chemical projects, commercial building and urban development projects. Consequently, L&K and RSEA successfully secured a big-scale project together in the following year. Therefore, L&K Group broaden the business industries with the completed professional construction capability.

Sustainable Development Period: (2002 ~ Present)

L&K deeply recognizes that sustainable business operations have become a crucial global development trend.
