Company History

The growth of L&K’s development is divided into the following periods:

Initial period: (1978 ~ 1986)

L&K began as a traditional air conditioning contractor and developed into the pioneer of Cleanroom project field in Taiwan. L&K completed several cleanroom projects of research labs and pilot plants for Taiwan military in this period. L&K also joined a SQUIBB pharmaceutical factory project and learned a lot from the engineering staffs of the American main contactor. L&K became the first Taiwan contactor to step into the field of cleanroom technology.

Transitional Period: (1987 ~ 1990)

L&K started to develop further into the whole plant electro-mechanical systems of the cleanroom. At that time L&K worked side by side with British engineers. The partner urged L&K to meet the high standards of detailed project planning, design criteria and construction quality. Through this project, L&K accomplished the integration of electro-mechanical systems, process equipments, and various facilities of a clean room, set up the standard of system testing and factory commissioning. L&K also builds up the ability to survey and obtain the proper materials and equipments for the clean rooms internationally. These achievements made L&K ready to undertake domestic and international turnkey clean room projects. In 1989, L&K acquired a factory of its own to produce accessories, fixtures, and sub-systems specially designed for clean rooms.

Growing Period: (1991 ~ 1994)

L&K not only built up its own capability of the cleanroom technology, but also aggressively looked for technological support from well known consultant companies from Japan and other countries. Furthermore, L&K established close relationship with cleanroom facility suppliers, well prepared for large-scaled clean room projects.

Prosperous Period: (1995 ~ 2008)

Coming along with the robust growth in electronic industry, L&K has accomplished many 8” and 12” IC wafer fab and TFT-LCD projects, including planning, engineering and construction. Besides clean rooms, L&K has expanded its services to EPC turnkey projects of semiconductor, biotechnology, solar cell, and optoelectronic plants.
L&K has developed standard and safe construction procedures for efficient and safe project execution, and a strong team of professional engineers capable of concurrently undertaking multiple contracts. L&K also built up the ability to manufacture critical clean room components to project quality, cost and schedule efficiently. To further service for the clients, L&K has established service team to provide timely maintenance and services.

Refining Period: (2009 ~ 2021)

Due to the worldwide financial meltdown during 2008 to 2009, most of the high-tech fab establishment projects were hold and some of the leading companies of high-tech industry also slashed the budget of establishment plan. Most of the construction companies struggled between the revenue and profit and that results in the severe competition in the market. At that moment, L&K and RSEA Construction Company were jointed to be “RSEA Engineering Corporation”. The integration of CSA (Civil, Structural, Architecture) and M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) capabilities leads to the birth of an unique turn-key engineering corporation which involves high-tech fab, bio-chemical projects, commercial building and urban development projects. Consequently, L&K and RSEA successfully secured a big-scale project together in the following year. Therefore, L&K Group broaden the business industries with the completed professional construction capability.

Sustainable Development Period: (2002 ~ Present)

L&K deeply recognizes that sustainable business operations have become a crucial global development trend.
