Whistleblowing System
- L&K has established Work Rules and strictly prohibits corruption, bribery, and any form of fraud or misconduct. Any employee who is found, after investigation, to have violated L&K's rules and regulations will be considered to have committed a serious breach and shall be subject to appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with applicable local laws and L&K's internal policies.
- “Employee Suggestion Boxes” have been established within the offices to provide employees with a channel for submitting feedback and reporting violations. Employees may also report any concerns or suspected violations directly to the relevant supervisors or the Auditing Office.
- Complaint boxes have also been established at each project site to provide all stakeholders with a channel for submitting complaints or reporting violations. Reports submitted through these boxes are handled confidentially and delivered in sealed form to the head of the Auditing Office for review and follow-up actions.
Handling Procedures
- L&K provides a whistleblowing channel on the official website to receive reports regarding any suspected illegal or unethical conduct. Investigations are conducted by the General Manager and the independent head of the Auditing Office. An investigation committee may be established, as necessary, depending on the circumstances of the reported case. The identity of the whistleblower and the contents of the report will be kept strictly confidential.
- Upon receiving a whistleblowing report, the General Manager and the head of the Auditing Office will handle the case in accordance with standard operating procedures, including receipt and classification, analysis and investigation, reporting, resolution, and follow-up on improvement measures.
- The investigation report shall be finalized within two months from the date of case initiation and submitted to the General Manager for review and approval. Any extension required by the investigating unit must be justified with reasons and approved by the General Manager prior to the deadline.
Protection of Whistleblowers
Regarding the mechanism for protecting whistleblowers, unless otherwise required by applicable laws, the personal information and submitted reports provided by whistleblowers will be kept strictly confidential. Appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with applicable laws to protect whistleblowers from retaliation, discrimination, or unfair treatment.
If you identify any suspected corruption, fraud, or other unethical conduct that violates applicable laws, regulations, or L&K's Code of Conduct, you may report such misconduct through the whistleblowing system. Reports received will be reviewed and handled by the investigation committee.
To facilitate the acceptance and investigation of a report, whistleblowers are requested to provide their real name, ID number, contact information, mailing address, supporting evidence, and other relevant details. For anonymous reports, L&K is unable to provide information regarding the investigation results.
